My name is Terri. I turned 51 years old November 2016. I've been married to my husband for over 30 years. We got married the year before I graduated from high school. We have four kids together, two are now grown and two are teens. We have one granddaughter and one grandson. We work at home together as a family running our home kidcare/preschool. My favorite thing to do for myself is to read. I love to review the books  to help get great literature noticed and read by others. I would love to be a published author one day in the not so far off future. I love DIY projects and am addicted to organizing and containers that make things look neater.

I became an Usborne Books & More Educational Consultant to spread the love of books to as many as I can. I use the books from UBAM to write/design my own five year preschool curriculum for my kidcare/preschool. I love having FB parties and helping individuals and schools earn free books. I also enjoy helping people find books they love at book fairs and other events.

I started my journey to healthier living over a decade ago. I started out by reading The Maker's Diet and found out many things about the toxins in our diets and products that we use. It was a struggle to cut out so much at one time. My family wasn't too happy with the idea of going "cold turkey" on their favorite things, either. Needless to say, only a few things stuck from our first big attempt to eat clean. They certainly weren't going to put up with me trying to take the chlorine out of their baths and showers because it just caused to many inconveniences. They wanted the toothpaste with the same chemical they use to prepare a dead body for burial. YULK! Little by little things got back to the way they were before, with a few exceptions. We started using the right kind of oils to cook with. No more vegetable oils, only olive and coconut oils. I stopped buying Country***** and bought REAL butter. I even found a spreadable one that has OLIVE OIL instead of the oils we don't eat. We started using sea salt and organic peppercorns in a pepper grinder. We started looking for foods with the least amount of strange ingredients and making healthier, if not totally healthy, choices.

Four years ago I decided, after YEARS of hating to run, that I would do the couch to 5K on the treadmill. After completing it, I took to the "open road", the trail at the park. I began to love running. Not exactly while I was doing it, but the feeling I got when I was done. I felt amazing. And I liked what it was doing for my body, when I was running consistently. Over a two year period I ran off and on. I participated in several 5k's and even did a 10K. I attempted a Half without doing the proper training. I made it by just putting one foot in front of the other. After all, I had to get back to my car somehow, right? My feet were in terrible shape by the time I reached my car. I soaked them in ice for hours. I became disheartened because I felt I had failed, when really, I did complete it, I never gave up. I waited awhile but got back into running some. I did a 15K and another 5K in 2016.

In 2014, I was introduced to a documentary called Super Juice Me. That was another life changer. It talked about the toxins in the foods and the medications we take. It talked about how just pure juice straight to the body and into the blood stream can heal the body! I did the 28 Day Super Juice Me plan. I had quite a few days that I cheated. I listened to that voice in my head tell me I wanted that junk more than I wanted to feel better. While I was on that 28 day journey, I read a book called "Freedom from the Diet Trap: Slim for Life". What an amazing book. I need to read it once a year so that I can get past this mind thing that plagues me. I KNOW the truth and yet I want what I shouldn't have. At the end of that 28 days I had lost almost 16 pounds and felt amazing. I managed to juice at least once or twice a day for several months after that. Slowly it got less and less. For many reasons I don't do it very often anymore. One is because it takes so much time and I have such a busy day from the time I get up. It is so worth the time to do and it is something I want to work back into my days.

During that year, I was also introduced to YLEO. I've learned quite a few things but am so eager to learn even more, for my family and others. On this page I will be sharing about what I have personally learned and also what others have taught me from their experiences. I am taking this whole journey to better health just a day at a time. Nothing more, nothing less. Just a day. It's all I have. Yesterday is gone. Tomorrow isn't promised. So Today is all we have. I want to make the most of each day I have. If you are interested in learning more you can go to www.youngliving.com  My number is 1776495. Make sure you use that number if you want to order or sign up, which is a much better deal in the long run.

My oldest daughter is a Beachbody coach and she got me to using the Turbo Fire workout videos. They are so much fun but are a GREAT workout. It wasn't long before I gave Shakeology a chance. After a month of drinking it for breakfast every morning, I decided to take the plunge and sign up as a coach myself. I get the coach discount on the products that not only I use but my family and I get a chance to share what I am doing with others and encourage people just like me wanting to have a healthier lifestyle. You can find me on Beachbody.com. My coach number is 694778. I also have a Terri Harr Fitness on FB that you can like and follow.

In November of 2016 I found Lilla Rose! It is a company with beautiful products that a durable and usable on any type of hair. My daughter and I have very long hair and it is great to have some pretty things to keep it up and out of our way, we live in Texas so the heat can get extreme. As you can see, my life is full of many wonderful things. I enjoy all of them and they make up who I am. If you are interested in any of them, let me know!
